An audio-visual wonder indeed! On September 16, 2023, the very talented musicians of The Philippine Suzuki Youth Orchestra (PSYO), together with violinists Adrian Nicolas Ong and Theodore Julius Tan, cellist Herrick Ortiz, and cello quartet Spectrum dazzled the guests in the Metropolitan Museum of Manila with an impressive repertoire of classical and contemporary musical pieces! All dressed in their elegant Barong Tagalogs and Baro’t Sayas, the children soared high with every note smoothly gliding together as they strike their violins, violas, cellos, and keys producing melodies that speak emotions—bringing to life the composers of each harmonious creations. At the same time, giving more opportunities for kids in the metro and other parts of the country as PSYO channels its proceeds to their outreach and education programs. For this concert, PSYO partnered with the Metropolitan Museum Of Manila to combine stunning works of art in paintings, sculptures, textiles, and digital with the sensational anthems of different eras. This brings to life the favorites and what’s current, thus the name of the event, Contemporary. For those who missed it, you may experience the performance here plus some photos of that musical afternoon below by Camille King. Comments are closed.
